Talking Happiness with PSFK and Some TED Memories

While at the #psfk Happiness event this morning, I had a few relevant @tedtalks make their way into my head.

One was Chip Conley: Measuring what makes life worthwhile. We know GDP is a half-ass yardstick. Can we do better? Yes, we can — and we will.

Then while I was talking with the affable Steve Dean @sgdean of http://www.meetup.com/NYQuantifiedSelf/, we touched on the measuring of sleep. I recalled this talk that blew my mind because Jessa Gamble basically says that our optimum sleep cycle might include TWO sleeps a night: 8-12pm, 2 hours of meditative quiet in bed, and 2am to sunrise.

Pretty cool stuff.
